Originally trained as a graphic designer and illustrator in Brighton, Sarah has enjoyed a diverse, creative career as an Art practitioner and educator. Sarah now works primarily in textiles, creating both functional pieces and abstract artworks using traditional techniques such as block-printing, patchwork, quilting and embroidery.
From an archive of fabric vintage finds, remnants and dead stock, Sarah’s starting points can be a simple fragment of cloth or a shape or pattern in the landscape. The collection includes wall hangings, embroidered collages and cushions together with small pieces such as purses, specs cases and lavender bags.
