Cooperative model
What sets the gallery apart is its distinctive cooperative model. Run as a not-for-profit company, it is led by four directors – Anna, Bebe, Brenda and Hattie – alongside a collective of exhibiting artists. Each artist contributes a modest monthly rent and a small commission on sales, ensuring the gallery remains financially sustainable while staying true to its community ethos. Beyond that, every member plays an active role in its day-to-day running, from curating displays and writing newsletters to handling practical tasks like maintenance. The result is refreshingly personal: every visit brings the opportunity to meet an artist, hear the story behind a piece, and engage directly with the creative process.
Our exhibition spaces
The gallery itself is more than a single exhibition room. Alongside the main space, visitors will discover an upstairs gallery filled with carefully curated works, as well as a delightful sculpture garden. This outdoor area, tucked away from the bustle, provides a calm retreat – perfect for a moment of reflection or quiet conversation on a busy day.

Central hub for Adur Art Trail in June 2026
This June, the gallery takes on an even more prominent role as the central hub for the annual Adur Art Trail. Visitors can pick up brochures packed with useful information on venues, opening times, maps and workshops – ideal for planning a leisurely exploration across the area. The trail runs over three weekends, the 6th and 7th, 13th and 14th and 20th and 21st June, providing ample opportunity to immerse yourselves in the wider creative community.
